Cowgirls volleyball to travel on European tour

Jun. 9—LARAMIE — The University of Wyoming volleyball team will be traveling overseas to Croatia and Greece on a European tour from Sunday to June 23. It will be the third tour for the Cowgirls and head mentor Chad Callihan and initial because the summer of 2018.

Just after departing from the United States Sunday, Wyoming will get there in Zagreb, Croatia Monday for some sightseeing in the capital of Croatia. Tuesday early morning will offer the initial of five matches for the Cowgirls. Right after the match, UW will journey to Split, Croatia exactly where they will do some sightseeing and engage in an evening match on Wednesday from ZOK Break up.

The Cowgirls will perform a next match on June 16 versus ZOK ahead of departing for Dubrovnik for two times of sightseeing around the Croatian city. UW will go away June 18 for Athens, Greece and then arrive in Nafplio, Greece. After a day of sightseeing in Nafplio, the Cowgirls will journey back again to Athens June 20 for sightseeing and a match towards Milonas.

Far more sightseeing is on the itinerary on June 21 ahead of an evening contest in opposition to Markopoulo. The Cowgirls will then go to Aigina Island June 22 just before departing Greece June 23 again to the United States.

UW is in the midst of exercise in preparation for the vacation. The Cowgirls are getting into into their 10th year beneath Callihan, welcomes a complete of 7 newcomers to the 2022 roster and has 8 returnees from final season.
