Roisin O’Connor appointed Head Chef of House Restaurant at Cliff House Hotel

Roisin O’Connor has been appointed Head Chef at The House Cafe in Cliff House Lodge, which holds a Michelin star.

Roisin joined Home Restaurant almost seventeen months in the past as Senior Sous Chef beneath Head Chef Ian Doyle, and is thrilled to be having the reigns at this amazing cliff aspect cafe.

Roisin is making the most of preparing her dishes and menus for the restaurant, commenting: “During my time here, I have been functioning together with Ian and the rest of the team to develop large interactions with the local suppliers and producers, and I’m extremely keen to retain and construct on those associations. We have extraordinary components out there to us locally which I appreciate to work with, and which will be integrated into my new menus just and elegantly, so they are showcased and loved at their best.”

Roisin grew up on a farm in North Kerry, overlooking the sea, wherever they grew their very own greens, and reared their own lambs and hen, so she’s often experienced a deep link with and appreciation for high quality ingredients and where by they come from. 

Roisin attended the Shannon Faculty of Lodge Management, and was just 17 many years outdated when she moved to France and fell in like with the kitchen, starting off her job in the Michelin star Four Year Resort in Provence, France as a Commis de Cuisine and staying there for two many years just before relocating to the five-star L’Apogee Courchevel in the French Alps.
