At least 3 dead in shooting on beach in Acapulco, Mexico


MEXICO Metropolis (AP) – At least a few persons were being killed in a shooting and subsequent confrontation with police Saturday at a beachside restaurant in Mexico’s Pacific coastline vacation resort of Acapulco.

The prosecutor’s office environment in Guerrero state, wherever Acapulco is positioned, reported two gunmen approached and killed two gentlemen at a beachside restaurant.

Police then chased the attackers down the seaside, killing a person and severely wounding the other. Movie posted on social media confirmed people operating down the beach as gunshots rang out. Others appeared to take cover powering tables or chairs.

Beachside shootings have happened in advance of in Acapulco, which has been plagued by gang violence because 2006.

In November, law enforcement reported gunmen pulled up in a boat and shot a person to dying on a common beach front in Acapulco. The attackers then apparently fled in the boat.

On Mexico’s Caribbean coast, there was a Nov. 4 shootout on a seashore in Puerto Morelos south of Cancun, involving a squad of armed males who still left two alleged drug sellers lifeless.


That daytime bloodshed sent tourists scrambling for go over at two substantial lodges exactly where area drug gangs had been seemingly competing for drug income.
